been listening a lot to 05-09-77 H>S>F (yet another incredible Betty Cantor)
had to ban it from my car as it was putting some serious weight on my right foot (usually way to much gas followed by panic braking)

08-13-75 H>S>F also rocks right out of the gate

then of course 10-17-83 Sugaree, which i promise not to mention again for at least another month

anyone know of any others, where half way through the opener you have to remind yourself it is still the 1st set?

5-25-77 The Mississippi Half-Step to open this show is one of the best that I've heard.

The Half-Step > Franklin's on 8-03-82 is another great Half-Step opener with the band really picking up during Franklin's.

It's difficult to compare anything from 1969 so I'll leave the 3/1/69 in it's own place however,.....12-31-84 contains a 17 minute Shakedown to open and has a Jack Straw/Bird Song right in the middle of the set. 12-27-86 has a Playing/Bertha opener that tripped me out big time. Also 12-28-79 has a long Sugarre to open and many surprises throughout.

There's so many great openers it's ridiculously wonderful.
